I love the shorter day's in the fall and winter. As a nester cooking, candle lite and fireplaces are my favorite evening things. I love a well designed mantel and these don't disappoint. Every thing doesn't have to be matchy matchy. In fact when you use a variety of colors and textures that work well together, the effect can be surprisingly nice.
And if you don't have a mantel any candlelit surface, corner or cupboard is perfect. The glow makes things feel warm and comfortable. I love this whole layout. The colors the textures the cowboy hat all work together to make a cool look.
