Let's face it, no one wants to sit at the kids table including the kids. And as a designer I hate having that awkward table at the end of my beautifully decorated table. My solution is to completely separate the 2 areas. Not like the kids are in one room and the adults are in another, we are all in the same room but the kids table becomes a little island of it's own. It gives them a chance to be goofy and catch up with the other young relatives but be within ear and eye shot. I love to decorate their table to look awesome too. It makes them know they are special and it adds some whimsy. The kids table can be the best place to sit with these fun ideas.
Keep candles to the battery operated style and glass to a minimum. Kids will be kids as we all know. Happy entertaining!!
