A Morning in the Garden Center

A Morning in the Garden Center

I've got a Scale and Mealy Worm problem with my Jade plants. I'm trying to fix it because this large plant was my mothers and she's no longer with me so I'm doing all I can to make this go away. Yesterday I went to the garden center with pictures on my phone and the hope I could find help there. The gal that helped me was amazing I only wish she could have given me better news. She said most likely I'm going to lose this plant so I should start propagating it. My kids, like my mother, are very good at this.  She showed me the rooting powder and instructions on what I should do when I got home. I have showered my Jades and sprayed them with the insect control spray that she gave me. I've also wiped them down with a damp warm paper towel and gone after them with Q tips to clean in all the small area's those bugs could be hiding. Wish me luck on this. I'll update soon.
While I was at the garden center I found this Goldfish succulent! The blooms look like little gold fish. It's adorable. I'm keeping this and all my other plants away from the jades for now.
The nursery was full of cactus and succulents. Every time I turned a corner I found something even cooler then the previous aisle. It seems succulents are the plant to have these days. I see them everywhere.
I hope you are having a great week!
