An inexpensive way of updating your fireplace can be quite simple. A new mantel and some updated stone and you've got a whole new look!
This fireplace was pretty already but it needed an update.
With a more substantial mantel it already has a better more balanced presence.
And with the addition of the Chilton stone and new hearth, it is transformed into a completely new fireplace.
This room also had outdated carpet in it. With the new flooring extending through the whole main floor, that in itself updated the home extensively.
This family chose to put the television above this fireplace as it was located in the central kitchen and family room location.
This is a great project to do in the summer months when most fireplaces aren't being used. And can be completed in just a few days.
